AI pitch deck generator
Investors expect the same ten or so slides. Describe your company, let your assistant draft them, and Presenter Cue lays them out as a clean deck you can rehearse and present.
Step by step: start from a template
- Open the templates. Choose New, then Templates: pitch deck, lesson, status update, product launch, workshop and school project. Each is a real deck with speaker notes.
- Pick one. The template opens as a new deck, saved in your browser. Your other presentations stay untouched in My decks.
- Or let your AI write your version. Every template page has a prompt that keeps the template’s structure. Paste it into your assistant with your topic and you get the same shape with your content.
The slides a pitch deck needs
- Title: company name and one line on what you do.
- Problem: who has it and what it costs them.
- Solution: what you built, shown simply.
- Market: how big, with sources.
- Traction: the one chart that matters most.
- Business model: how money comes in.
- Competition: why you win, fairly stated.
- Team: why you are the ones to do it.
- The ask: how much, and what it buys.
Presenter Cue’s pitch deck prompt asks for exactly these, using big-number slides for the market, a chart for traction and a comparison slide for competitors.
Write it, then make it true
An assistant can’t know your numbers. Market sizes and traction charts in a first draft are placeholders, and the prompt tells the assistant to label them as examples. Replace every figure with your own before you send the deck to anyone.
Rehearse with presenter view
With Pro, presenter view shows your notes, the next slide and a timer while the room sees only the slides, and your phone becomes the remote, so you can walk and talk instead of standing at the laptop.
What investors look for in each slide
| Slide | The question it answers | What makes it convincing |
|---|---|---|
| Problem | Is this painful enough to pay for? | A specific customer, a specific cost |
| Solution | Does it actually solve it? | A screenshot or photo, not a description |
| Market | Can this be big? | A bottom-up number with its source |
| Traction | Is it working? | One real metric over time |
| Business model | How does it make money? | Price, margin, how customers are won |
| Competition | Why you, not them? | A fair comparison with what customers use now |
| Team | Can these people do it? | Relevant experience, one line each |
| The ask | What do you want? | Amount, what it buys, how long it lasts |
Generating it
Choose Pitch deck as the kind, set the audience (angel investors, seed funds, an accelerator panel) and paste your real numbers into the topic: revenue or users by month, price, what you are raising. The more facts you give, the fewer placeholders come back. The pitch deck prompt shows the topic line to use, and the startup pitch deck template is a finished example.
Make the numbers true
An AI will happily write “$4.2B market” or “40% month-over-month growth”. Investors will ask where every number came from. Replace every figure with one you can defend, cite the source on the slide, and if a number is an estimate, say so. A small, honest traction chart beats a large invented one.
Rehearse until it fits the slot
Demo days give three to five minutes; first meetings ten to twenty, mostly conversation. Use the timer in presenter view to rehearse, and note target times in your speaker notes (“should be at 2:00 here”). With your phone as the remote you can step away from the laptop and talk to the room.
Sharing the deck
Investors often ask for the deck before or after a meeting. Download a PDF (Pro) and check it on a phone, because many people read pitch decks on one. Keep a shorter “send-ahead” version without the slides that only make sense when you talk them through.
Questions
How many slides should a pitch deck have?
Ten to fifteen is usual for a meeting. Keep a few extra slides (detailed financials, roadmap) at the end for questions.
Can I send the pitch deck as a PDF?
Yes. With Pro, download it as a PDF from the studio’s Download menu.
How many slides should a pitch deck have?
Ten to twelve is common for a first meeting; seven to ten for a short demo day pitch. Fewer, stronger slides beat a long deck.
Should I send my deck before the meeting?
Many investors ask for one. Send a PDF version written to be read without you, and keep the presenting version for the meeting itself.
Can the AI write my financial projections?
Don’t let it invent them. Build projections from your own assumptions in a spreadsheet, then give the assistant the results to place on a slide.
Is the pitch deck template free to use?
Yes, for any purpose. Replace the example company, names and figures with your own.
