Make slides with Claude
Claude writes clear, well-structured presentations. Presenter Cue turns its answer into slides you can edit, present and download.
Step by step: make a presentation with your AI
- Describe it. In the studio, choose New. Write the topic, who is listening, how many slides and the tone. Presenter Cue writes a detailed prompt from your answers.
- Ask your assistant. Tap ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini. It opens in a new tab with the prompt ready; send it and wait for the answer. No credits, just the assistant you already use.
- Paste the answer. Back in the studio, paste the reply. Presenter Cue reads it, even with small mistakes, and draws every slide at once, with speaker notes.
- Edit and present. Change any word, add your own pictures, pick a theme, then press Present. Arrow keys, a clicker or a tap move the slides; with Pro, so does your phone.
From Claude to a deck
- Describe your talk in the studio: topic, audience, length and tone.
- Tap Claude. Claude opens in a new tab with the prompt ready to send.
- Copy Claude’s reply with the copy button under the code block.
- Paste it into Presenter Cue. The slides appear with speaker notes.
Good to know
Claude sometimes shows long answers as an artifact or file beside the chat. Copy the content of that panel, not the chat message, so you get the whole JSON. If Claude asks a question before writing, answer it: the deck will be better for it.
Claude is particularly good at speaker notes. If your notes come back short, ask: “Rewrite every slide’s notes as 3 to 4 natural sentences I can say out loud,” and paste the new answer.
Why Claude suits presentations
Claude tends to follow long, structured instructions closely, which is exactly what the Presenter Cue prompt is: a description of the deck, then the shape the answer must take and the rules for slides. It also writes natural speaker notes. Free and paid plans both work for decks of ten to fifteen slides.
Step by step
- Describe the deck in the studio. Topic, audience, number of slides, tone and theme.
- Tap Claude. claude.ai opens with the prompt in a new chat. Press send.
- Copy the reply with the copy button under it.
- Paste it into the studio. The slides appear with their notes.
Using a Claude project or your own documents
If your source material is in Claude already (a report, meeting notes, a paper you uploaded), add “Use the attached document for the facts” to the topic before you tap Claude, then attach the file in Claude before sending. The prompt still asks for the same slide shape, so the answer pastes into Presenter Cue as usual. Check every figure against the document afterwards.
Refining the deck with Claude
- “Merge slides 5 and 6 and send the whole JSON back.”
- “Add a timeline slide with these milestones: …”
- “The audience is executives with five minutes. Cut to six slides.”
Paste each new answer through New in the studio. Each paste becomes a new deck, so the earlier version stays in My decks if you prefer it.
If the reply isn’t a code block
Occasionally Claude answers with a written outline first. Paste it anyway: Presenter Cue turns a plain outline (a title, then headings with bullet points) into slides. For the full layout choices, ask Claude to “send it as the JSON code block described in the prompt”.
Questions
Is Claude free to use for this?
Claude has a free plan that works with Presenter Cue. Paid plans allow longer decks and more messages.
Can I use the same prompt in ChatGPT and Claude?
Yes. The prompt is the same; use whichever assistant you like, or try both and keep the better deck.
Does the Claude link work on a phone?
The link opens claude.ai in the phone’s browser, or the app if it handles links. You can make the whole deck on a phone, though editing and presenting are easier on a computer.
Can Claude make charts?
Yes. Tick Charts in the studio and the prompt asks for chart slides with labels and values. Presenter Cue draws the chart; you can change the values in the side panel.
What if Claude refuses or asks questions first?
Answer its questions, then ask it to send the deck in the format from the first message. Clear topics with facts included rarely need a back-and-forth.
Is my deck stored by Claude?
Your conversation is stored according to your Claude account settings. The deck you make in Presenter Cue is stored only in your browser.
