Turn Gemini answers into slides
Gemini can draft your whole presentation. Presenter Cue copies a prompt built for slides, you paste it into Gemini, and its answer becomes your deck.
Step by step: make a presentation with your AI
- Describe it. In the studio, choose New. Write the topic, who is listening, how many slides and the tone. Presenter Cue writes a detailed prompt from your answers.
- Ask your assistant. Tap ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini. It opens in a new tab with the prompt ready; send it and wait for the answer. No credits, just the assistant you already use.
- Paste the answer. Back in the studio, paste the reply. Presenter Cue reads it, even with small mistakes, and draws every slide at once, with speaker notes.
- Edit and present. Change any word, add your own pictures, pick a theme, then press Present. Arrow keys, a clicker or a tap move the slides; with Pro, so does your phone.
How to do it
- Describe your presentation in the studio.
- Tap Gemini. Gemini opens and the prompt is copied. Paste it into the message box and send.
- Copy Gemini’s answer with the copy button on the code block.
- Paste it into the studio and your slides appear.
Why Gemini needs a paste
ChatGPT and Claude accept a prompt in their web address, so Presenter Cue can open them with it filled in. Gemini doesn’t, so the prompt is copied to your clipboard instead. It’s one extra paste.
Gemini tips
If Gemini shows the JSON split across several blocks, ask it to “send the whole JSON in one code block”. If it adds explanations around the code, that’s fine: Presenter Cue finds the slides inside the answer.
Step by step
- Describe the deck in the studio and tap Gemini.
- The prompt is copied and gemini.google.com opens in a new tab.
- Paste the prompt into Gemini’s message box with Ctrl+V (⌘V on a Mac) and send.
- Copy Gemini’s answer with its copy button and paste it into step 3 in the studio.
Gemini in Google Workspace
If your school or company uses Gemini inside Google Workspace, the same prompt works there. Gemini can also draw on your Drive files when your organization allows it: add “Use the facts in [file name]” to the topic. Check every number it takes from a document.
Common Gemini hiccups
- It answers with a table or a document instead of JSON. Reply “Send it again as one JSON code block in exactly the shape I asked for.”
- It stops partway through. Paste what you have: Presenter Cue keeps every complete slide. Or reply “continue” and paste the full answer once it’s done.
- It adds images or links. Presenter Cue ignores image links; add your own pictures in the side panel.
Gemini or Google Slides?
Google Slides has its own Gemini features for adding a slide or an image to an existing deck. Presenter Cue is for starting from a description and getting a whole, consistent deck with speaker notes in one go, then presenting it with your phone as the remote. Many people draft here and present here; if your team needs the deck in Google Slides afterwards, download PNG images of the slides (Pro) and add them to a Slides file.
Questions
Does this work with Gemini in Google Workspace?
Yes. Any Gemini that can answer a long prompt works: the free app, a paid plan, or Gemini in Workspace.
Can I send the slides to Google Slides?
Download a PDF or PNG pictures (Pro) and insert them, or keep presenting from Presenter Cue with your phone as the remote.
Why doesn’t Gemini open with the prompt filled in?
Gemini doesn’t accept a prompt in its web address, so the studio copies the prompt for you to paste. ChatGPT and Claude accept it, which is why they open pre-filled.
Does it work with Gemini’s free version?
Yes. Any Gemini model that follows instructions can return the slide format.
Can I use Gemini on my phone?
Yes, in the browser or the app. Copy the answer and paste it into the studio on the same phone, or send it to your computer.
What about Microsoft Copilot?
Copilot works the same way as Gemini: the studio copies the prompt and opens Copilot, you paste it, and you copy the answer back.
