A Beautiful.ai alternative
Beautiful.ai is known for layouts that adjust as you type. Presenter Cue shares that idea, with text fitted to every layout, and pairs it with your own AI and a phone remote.
Step by step: edit your slides
- Change any text. Pick a slide on the left and edit its title and points in the side panel. The slide redraws as you type, and text shrinks to fit instead of spilling over.
- Switch layouts. Change the layout and your text comes along: bullets become steps, a timeline or big numbers. Fifteen layouts, from title to closing.
- Reorder, duplicate, undo. Drag slides in the list to reorder them. Ctrl+D duplicates a slide, Ctrl+Z undoes. Every change saves itself.

Who should pick which
Teams that need brand controls and shared editing are better served by Beautiful.ai or a similar team tool. People who present on their own, already have an AI assistant, and want something quick, private and free to start should try Presenter Cue.
Different ideas of “smart” slides
Template-driven tools keep your slides tidy by adjusting the design as you add content. Presenter Cue does a version of the same thing: each of its fifteen layouts sizes and places text, charts and pictures automatically, so slides stay readable whatever the assistant writes. The difference is where the content comes from: Presenter Cue is built around bringing in a whole draft from your own AI assistant and then presenting it.
Which suits whom
- Teams with brand guidelines and many people editing shared decks may prefer a hosted design tool with team features.
- People who already pay for ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini and want a deck from it quickly, without another AI subscription, fit Presenter Cue.
- Speakers who present often get presenter view, a phone remote and a timer in Presenter Cue for $10 a week or $99 a year, with no auto-renewal.
Moving a deck over
Export your existing deck’s text or outline, ask your assistant to turn it into the Presenter Cue format with the prompt from the studio, and paste the answer. Re-add images in the side panel.
A quick test before you decide
- Pick a real talk you have coming up, not a demo topic.
- Make it in both tools from the same notes, and time how long each takes to reach a deck you would present.
- Present it once from each, with notes and a remote, as you would on the day.
- Check the cost for a year on the plan you would actually need, including any AI credits.
Most people know which fits within an hour. If your work is mostly designing polished decks with a team, a design-first tool may suit you better; if it’s getting from an idea to presenting quickly with the AI you already use, Presenter Cue usually does.
